Limericks for Will
|
|
The idea of limericks was proposed
by Julia, to be included with greetings she was sending to Will, last year. Abs suggested we start
a page...

There once was a chap named Chick,
Covered with black oil so slick.
"I just came to drill"
he said with a trill;
Please get this over real quick!

Jackson needs something to hug,
to give his heartstrings a tug;
perhaps a steady?
or my old Teddy?
Or ME who's cute as a bug!!!!!

There once
was an agent named Jackson
who wanted
to see more field action...
what we
saw in Nocturne,
now it’s
sweet Debra’s turn,
seems he’s
already quite Action Jackson.

Julia said, “Write a limerick, please.”
(But how to compete with Sweetbreze?)
It will make the man smile,
Yeah, sure, but the while
the rest of us suffer brain-freeze.

Abs wrote
an email to Sandi,
“Dear
Girl, your poems are dandy...
but the
standard’s so high,”
said Abs
with a sigh,
“’stead
of writing I’ll eat bags of candy.”

Jackson and Quinn, what a
pair-
one is cute and one has no
hair.
Jacks: kind and true,
Quinn's the devil (plus two).
One gives hope, the other,
despair.

Will Patton, I’m sure that you know,
Sets the hearts of his posse a-glow.
Those looks from blue eyes
Cause heartfelt, big sighs
And dreams...Now is that not so?

I went to New York for a
play.
Will Patton just blew me
away.
"Dad" was fragile
But still made me smile
And I'm sure he just "made"
Jeanine's day!

There once was an agent
called Jackson
Who fin'ly saw some of the
action
With Terri and Stiles
In China for miles...
Stiles hand on his butt... for
a fraction???

For those
unfamiliar, a limerick is a poem of 5 lines. The rhythm is this: The
1st, 2nd, & 5th lines have 3 beats, while the 3rd & 4th lines have 2
beats. |
